Implants

dental-implants-diagramMissing teeth not only affect your smile, but how you feel about yourself, and even your health.

Dental implants are an option for those wanting a permanent solution that feels more natural.  The implant process takes place over the course of 3-6 months and involves fusing the implant to the jawbone.  It is this integration with the jawbone that makes the implant feel so natural, and unlike a bridge, no additional teeth need to be altered or affected with an implant.  Though it takes several months for the implant to heal, a temporary crown can be placed on the implant, which will allow for normal eating, and will also maintain the aesthetics of your smile.  Once the implant is healed, the new tooth, or restoration, is attached to it.

Talk to us if you’re considering dental implants.  Candidates for implants must have healthy gums and an adequate bone to support the implant.

AVOID IMPLANT FAILURE:
Cleaning your dental implants is important to prevent bacterial biofilm (Plaque) build-up, and to avoid gum disease around the dental implants.  At Glendale Premier Dental Center we have the technology to see under your gums, inspect plaque build-up, help avoid gum disease, and be able to suggest necessary treatments.
